As of March 2020 we are withdrawing Music Medals from the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and certificates will no longer carry the Ofqual logo. This is to allow us to make important improvements to Music Medals in response to feedback from teachers and learners.

The deadline for submitting and paying for an entry to receive a regulated certificate is 22nd December 2019, the video and results need to be submitted to ABRSM by 31st January 2020. Any results submitted after this date will receive our new non-regulated certificate.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at [email protected]

Getting parental permission

As a teacher-assessor, it's your responsibility to make sure that each candidate’s parent or guardian consents to their child being video-recorded if they're under the age of 18.

Download a sample parental permission form.

Option tests and report forms

You can download the following for eight weeks after ABRSM receives payment for your entries.

  • A set of confidential Option tests for each candidate
  • A report form for each candidate
  • A blank video log on which the teacher-assessor lists the candidates recorded on each video

Option tests are time-limited and downloading them activates the start of an eight-week period during which the Medal must take place and all video-recordings and assessment materials must be sent to ABRSM.
