I purchased MP3 recordings from iTunes/the ABRSM download store. Why can’t I use these pieces in the app?
Please note that our Practice Partner apps use custom file formats that allow you to change the key of the piece in real time. This content is more feature-rich and uses very different technology to standard audio files. It is therefore only possible to buy these specialised recordings from within the app via in-app purchase for the available syllabuses. If you purchased ABRSM pieces as MP3 recordings from a provider such as the ABRSM download store, iTunes, ripped from a CD, etc; you will not be able to use these audio files within the app. You can only use pieces purchased directly within the app as an in-app purchase.
When you run Singing Practice Partner, ABRSM gathers anonymous usage statistics such as session length, country, user profile and device type. This is done using Flurry, an analytics toolset. The data ABRSM receives from Flurry does not allow us to identify you personally.
ABRSM uses data gathered through Flurry to benchmark the usage of the application. This means that we regularly look at these statistics to evaluate our products and inform development. Note that we do not track your unique device identifier (UDID) or other personal information through Flurry – this data is anonymous.
